Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej or now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to achieve a score of 10 in an Olympic competition. Bela Karalyi was introduced to Comaneci when she was six. Comaneci would go on to be Romania's gymnastics coach. The year 1969 was the first time she competed at the Romanian Junior Championships and finished 13th. In 1970, she won the title. At her first international event in 1972, a pre-Olympic junior competition for communist-bloc nations she was awarded three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1974 she became an overall junior champion. When she competed for the first time as a senior athlete in the year 1975, she beat out Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva who was a five-time European champion, winning four gold medals as well as one silver. She was the first woman to ever successfully complete the backwards double salto while dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She began her career in the entertainment industry during her teenage years performing as the figure skating duo of her sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a American citizen who was born on September 6, 1942, in Chicago Illinois. Carol began her career in the entertainment business as a teenager. Her career began with her joining Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling show of entertainment. The show featured stage-moving ice-skating performances.
