April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4th, 1995. In seventh grade she began playing guitar and piano classes, which ignited her love for songwriting. at the age of 12, April composed her first single Different. In her 14th year, April devoted much of her time writing and practicing songs. After a while, she began to travel with her dad and to write songs in NY or LA. April began to include various other topics relevant to the"Take my Hand song for some acquaintances, including peer pressure issues and suicide among teens. Lockhart has her own following and also works as a lifestyle blogger with the renowned Ilia the Clean Beauty brand. Her disability is a part of her persona, however it's not the entire image. Lockhart does not deny that she has a disability on Instagram, but she does not make it the main focus of it. The point? The message? We are all multifaceted, and that our identity and physical bodies aren't what appear. Lockhart speaks through video from Nashville. "I do not want it to define my existence. I'm not looking to only be identified as a specialist in disability. However, it doesn't affect my day-to-day living. I do the normal things and have adapted to my disability. The same is true for my life, and I think it should be discussed. Lockhart has been a great source of inspiration for her female friends regarding acceptance of oneself. However, she admits to going through phases of insecurity with her body, and also feeling uneasy wearing certain clothing styles which exposed her arms. Nowadays, she can wear whatever she'd like. and she shares pictures on social networks. To her, self-love was always a lengthy process. But, this isn't typical for people that is prone to doubts. It is essential to surround yourself with those who are able to see you.
